The Giving Keys

So in my last two outfits I had this necklace on and I thought I'd tell you a little more about it because you might see it in a few more outfits to come!

This necklace came from Passion 2015 and it is more than just a key on a chain. When I bought it, the lady told me to wear this every day as a sign of my faith and if  I run into anyone who is questioning their faith I should pass it on to them in hopes their questions become answered and their faith becomes stronger. This key is something that should travel amongst others in hopes of strengthening each others faith.

The END IT Movement was the movement at this years Passion. It is a movement to help bring awareness to the millions of men, women, and children around the world trapped in slavery. You can start your own team! All it takes is one person to help end it!

Outfit #3

Yeah, another piko! You will probably be seeing a lot of outfits with Pikos. They are super comfortable and you can dress them up or down. My goal is to have every color!

From my closet:
  • Brown Piko long sleeve tunic dress. I actually found this at Platos for 8$. I don't know who would want to give one of these up!
  • Entourage scarf. I wore this in my last outfit. You might see me wear this scarf a lot it's one of my favorite!
  • Black tights. I got mine from Versona which is where I work so I got 20% off!
  • Black TOMs wedges. You can really pair this dress with any shoe like boots or even flats.
  • I like to keep the jewelry simple. Gold jewelry is my favorite!

I had to share a picture of this sassy cat! This is Sofie and doesn't she look thrilled that I came home to visit her? Even though she's a drama queen I still love her!

Outfit #2

This outfit is easy to just throw on when you're rushing on those busy mornings to class! Plus its simple, cute, and comfy! Maybe too comfy..

From my closet:
  • The flannel is from aeropostale and it is actually a guys shirt. I purchased it at Platos. You can go to your local Goodwill and find numerous flannels for as cheap as $5!
  • A white tank top from Pacsun. I got it from the Pacsun outlet on a buy one get one free deal.
  • Black fleeced lined leggings. They are by far the best investment! Plus they are pretty cheap. they are super comfy and you can wear them with anything!
  • The scarf is from Entourage and it is probably my favorite scarf!
  • To finish this outfit off I just threw on a pair of boots!
This outfit you can get as creative as you want! You can pair the flannel with a colored top instead or even a graphic tee. Don't be afraid to try new combinations!

Outfit #1

This is an easy go to outfit for all occasions. I put this outfit together for church. Black has slowly become one of my favorite colors because it's one color that will never go out of style. Plus it looks good on everyone!

From my closet:
  • A Black Piko: pikoshirts.com - Only 20$ - This is the cheapest I've seen them. I've also been lucky enough to find some at Plato's Closet.
  • American Eagle White Skinny Jeans: I couldn't find these exact skinny jeans, but I got them at the American Eagle Outlet. I got them for only $20, which is good for American Eagle jeans. You can also wear your favorite pair of white jeans or you can do any color you like or even just your favorite skinny jeans.
  • TOMs Wedge : I got these for Christmas, but I love them! They come in many different colors. TOMs can be a little pricey so I found a pair of black wedges from DSW that look the same!
  • The cardigan is from the LOFT outlet. You can really pair this outfit with any cardigan.
  • I love layering necklaces and you can really do it with all necklaces, so don't be afraid to try something different. Who knows you might start a new trend!

First Post

I have been wanting to start a fashion blog for the longest time and I figured what am I waiting for? I am currently in college with a Business major, but my goal is to graduate with a Fashion Marketing degree in hopes of becoming an assistant buyer for a company like Macy's or Ralph Lauren. That would be my dream job and isn't that what life is about achieving our dreams?

I have learned the key to being happy and successful in life is you need to find something you love and are passionate about. You can't let anyone stop you or tell you differently because at the end of the day you have to live with the choices you've made.

"But as for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded."
2 Chronicles 15:7

If you stick to what you believe in then good things will come. You just have to be patient!

This isn't going to be just any fashion blog. It's a blog about how to have that high-end look everyone wants but no one wants to pay for. I thought this was a good idea because most of my closet if not all of it comes from consignment shops, second hand stores, and I always buy things on sale. Now, don't get me wrong I love that smell of a brand new Michael Kors bag but I will never pay the full retail price. Always wait for a sale to happen so you can get some money off that bag you've always wanted. I currently work in retail and I have learn how much they raise the price of an item just to get the most profit, but in reality they know it's truly not worth that much.

I hope this blog helps you understand that you can achieve that high-end wardrobe by shopping at places like Goodwill! No one has to know where you bought it! Just let them think you paid the full price for it, it'll be our secret! ;)
